okay, so to cut a two-week-long story into a one post, single-page blog entry, those of us still left in auckland wanted to go out and make a bit of money to spend during the holidays, so we found a job with a horticulture contractor (will remain anonymous) in the hawkes bay area. so we got there, had a bit of training and got down to work.

there were highs and lows along the way.. i’d be worried if there weren’t.. our supervisor seemed a bit grumpy at first, but he turned out to be a nice old chap, marvelous! our boss was cool too, i mean, ever seen any big contractor bosses in malaysia go down to a budget lodge to pick up some foreign orchard labourers? and he also got our supervisor to revise our rates per tree (payrise!)..

but just as we were really getting into the swing of things, things started going wrong…

the orchard owner suddenly grew the urge to turun padang, every day, and ask us ’so what are you doing here?’… hmmm o_0 … yeah, so tiba2 he’s all grumbly at us for nothing and not being satisfied with our work. so one day, some of us trimmed off a few apples too many, and he fires us, all, i thought the geneva convention outlaws collective punishment? ehe…

so, the conclusion:
we got a job, got a payrise, and got fired, all in a week and a half! sweeet…. :D
but we didn’t make as much as we’d hoped to though… :(

cyaz!

(owh, now i’m back in malaysia)

oh, don’t be fooled by what they made you read for SPM, these apples are sour!

the story of 11 eleven friends, out to make their mark in the quaint village of hastings. but little did they expect to find; psycophysical stress factors, wild beasts, pemerintah yang zalim (how d’you say that in english? haha), intrigue, deception, and a hidden vandeta. but what are they willing to risk for their ambitions of power, fame, and money?

ahaha >:)  too interesting to be real life? think again..

Under most condition, apple trees will set more fruit than needed for a full crop. MostPrebloap
cultivars will retain this heavy set of fruit throughout the growing season resulting in small, poorly colored, low quality fruit. Thinning is the removal of a portion of the crop before it matures on the tree to increase the marketability of the remaining fruit and to reduce the biennial bearing tendency of the tree.
