Salam.. it’s already the 3rd of Ramadhan where i am, no too bad, at least just a day behind everybody else in the rest of the world.. hohoho…

anyways, last night we had a video screening - ‘Soal Jawab Puasa’ by Dr. MAZA (no, not in person) at Eng 3.401..
pretty massive turnout from our friends in auckland, the room was packed full! why didn’t i book 3.404 instead?

yeah, so it went well, except that Mr.MC (codename: Shaken) brought the wrong dvd’s! hehe, but still it arrived in the end.. reminds me of the time Mr.Sec (codename: 3rd Chapter) forgot to bring the video for the IAW screening! hahahhahaha..

then we all iftar, and then solat maghrib berjemaah, then makan berjemaah (BEST! BEST!) and then solat isya and terawih berjemaah..and then we had moreh berjemaah.. alhamdulillah, penuh surau uni tu…hmmm.. just a thought that comes to (many) mind(s) often at this time of the year: isn’t great to see the masjids and surau’s all full up for solat SUNAT tarawih time2 gini? if only u could see that for 5 solat FARDHU in the other 11 MONTHS of the year… sigh.. [enjoining MYSELF and others to take heed, think about what is really important]

hmmm.. speaking of prayer room, there’s the whole issue with AuckUni losing it’s lovely big prayer room on mount street to its close rival AUT… the AuckUni Islamic Society and AUT Muslim Students association are working together to sort things out.. and heck! we got a lot of work to do, for a lot of people too…

brief summary: malay muslim students ALONE have doubled due to sudden wave of MARA students coming.. then there are the Saudi brothers coming by the busloads (we would really appreciate it if they could get their act together).. and we have more Pakistani post-grads coming late september, if im not mistaken… the mt st facility is already overflowing for jumu’ah, and that’s with DOUBLE sessions! (the practice of which i must say needs to be stopped as soon as we get the chance, coz it aint right).. AUT wanna build  student apartment on the site, so lets hope they’ll agree to give us a floor for prayer.. shame though, coz even if they do, then they get nothing for it in akhirah bcoz they’re (most probly) not muslims.. just a thought.. shouldn’t we try to change that?…

hmmm… well, we’re doing our best… hey, byk pulak nk cakap nih… i should sit down and write more iften, now that there are things to write about…

ok, anyway, we’re trying our level best (but i should have tried harder).. anyway, no worries, we (AUIS) just had the AGM last wednesday… reshuffled the committee.. got some fresh new faces in… new pres, bro Bilel from Tunisia, impressive guy, he’ll do better, i know it…

but i dunno, somehow giving up the post now makes me feel so… regretful? wish i could do it again? yeah.. but i can’t so have to learn from my mistakes and weaknesses…

hmmm… haven’t called home in AGES!! so busy, yeah… i know that’s not a good enough excuse sometimes, but i try not to make it one.. and then when i do remember, or get the TIME to call, i find that someway somehow TELECOM decides that i’m not entitled to make toll calls!

I PAY THE BILLS DON’T I?!?!?!?!? ALL $93.38 OF IT PER MONTH!!

hehee… calm down… innee so’im… yeah, and then i always forget to call them up to give the many pieces of my mind.. not very pleasant… [sigh]

hmmm.. ok i guess i gotta go soon… got a seminar to go soon, then there’s a committee meeting this afternoon.. yes! you’re right!! it IS a sunday! but that doesn’t really mean much when u’re in uni, and u’re doing engineering… and.. and.. and.. hmmm.. i wonder if this is a precursor of things to come? most probly..

oh, and then i find out from kak long’s blog that Nyang is ill.. they say it’s sakit tua.. now my feeling of guilt is compounded… :-S how is she now? anybody?
